NaPoWriMo #22: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes

The Norse God in the winged crown
Can swing his mighty hammer down
The man in his red iron suit
Can fly with his repulsor boots

When he swings his mighty shield
Those who oppose The Cap must yield
While at his side a super spy
Has her direct attack devised.

With a loud and frightful scream
Comes the monster, big and green
His bounding leaps and big hulk hands
Are stronger than gods can withstand

Arrows fly and hit their mark
The flying chariots shoot and spark
They throw themselves into the fray
The heroes fight to save the day

They run and fly, the team attacks
And beats the monster aliens back
And when the threat has seen defeat
Time to regroup! It’s time to eat.

It’s a nursery rhyme I think! Kids these days and their superheroes. Seriously… why didn’t I get to have this fun when I was a kid?

    1. Thanks! I was actually thinking, “Hmm… what would kids like these days? Oh, right… superheroes.” I might follow up with one later because I totally enjoyed the new Captain America movie. (Plus I was listening to Snoop Dogg and Lady of Rage’s “Batman & Robin” track, and I’m feeling inspired. πŸ™‚ )
