Not that Megatron. Calvin “Megatron” Johnson, possessor of the coolest nickname in the NFL, apparently just found out exactly who he was named after according to this Detroit Free Press article:
[Roy] Williams is the one who nicknamed Johnson Megatron, after a character from the “Transformers” movie.
“I just found out when I bought the movie — I thought Megatron was the good one,” Johnson said. “He’s actually one of the Decepticons.”
Calvin Johnson didn’t know who Megatron was? Oh, man… that makes me feel so old.
